DeckWright® Three Strip Anti-Slip Decking Board

Introducing DeckWright’s three strip Boards, made from sustainably sourced softwood timber and treated and manufactured in the UK. We’re capable of supplying custom profile lengths and can anti-slip treat any hardwoods or softwood timbers.

DeckWright – a flexible mix of polyurethane resin impregnated with bauxite aggregate. Using a granular size of between 0.9 and 1 .1 mm, the Mohs hardness level 9 on a scale where diamond is the hardest possible at Mohs 10. When applied to grooved timber decking profiles, the inserts will lessen the risk of slipping, when walking on a level surface in a straight line. DeckWright enjoys a PTV score of 71 (a PTV of greater than 36 is required to offer a lower risk (“anti-slip”) of slipping).

DeckWright anti-slip boards come with either use class 3 treatment or use class 4 treatment depending on end use specification. This gives a slight green colour to the timber which naturally fades into a silver.

For cutting the boards, please be aware of the strength of the aggregate & resin solution and use an appropriate blade for the job. Treating areas that have been cut, drilled or notches in the timber boards is strongly recommended to the keep the integrity of the timber.

DeckWright anti-slip boards come with a 15 year warranty. DeckWright boards or boards with our anti-slip treatment can be stained with paints, stains or oils if required. These treatments will not have an adverse effect on the anti-slip. We do recommend that liquids other than natural liquids that come into contact with the boards are cleaned from the surface of the boards immediately in order to maintain the full effect of the anti-slip treatment and remove unwanted staining of the timber.
