Anti-Slip Decking For Garton-On-The-Wolds Primary School

Safer Outdoor Access for Garton-on-the-Wolds Primary School
We are proud to have supplied our high-performance DeckWright anti-slip decking boards to Garton-on-the-Wolds Primary School, located near Driffield in Yorkshire. The installation transformed the school’s ramp and play access area, situated outside a portable classroom, into a safer and more reliable space for everyday use.

The project involved supplying approximately 300 linear meters of DeckWright anti-slip decking boards, crafted to meet the school’s specific safety and durability needs. Our standard 32mm x 125mm decking boards with dual anti-slip grooves were selected for their exceptional performance, offering a Pendulum Test Value (PTV) of 71, far exceeding industry safety requirements.

A Solution Designed for Challenging Environments
The ramp and play area sit beneath several large trees, making it highly prone to moss and algae build-up due to frequent shade and damp conditions. These factors can create hazardous surfaces, particularly for young children, teachers, and other visitors. However, DeckWright boards are specifically designed to thrive in challenging environments like these. The embedded grit and resin combination provides superior slip resistance, even in wet or slippery conditions, ensuring year-round safety for all users.

Built to Last
In addition to their safety benefits, DeckWright anti-slip boards are built for long-term performance. They come with an impressive 15-year warranty covering the anti-slip properties, giving the school peace of mind that their investment will stand the test of time.

Supporting Community Spaces
This installation at Garton-on-the-Wolds Primary School exemplifies our commitment to enhancing the safety and usability of public and community spaces. By providing a durable and reliable solution, we’ve contributed to creating a safe outdoor environment where children can learn, play, and thrive.
