About Our Anti-Slip Strips
DeckWright® uses a polyurethane resin in our anti-slip technology mixed with bauxite aggregate. The resin is precision-injected into the grooves of the timber deck board. The bauxite aggregate achieves an impressive value of 1.1 Mohs hardness scale.
The bauxite and resin combination sits slightly proud of the profile of the deck board providing an unrivalled anti-slip solution for decking. The anti-slip comes with a 15-year performance warranty and is a Performance + rated product by the TDCA (Timber Decking & Cladding Association). The performance of a non-slip surface or product is measured using a Pendulum Test Value or PTV for short. To be classed as a non-slip product, it must have a PTV of above 36. DeckWright® anti-slip decking is rated 71. Significantly higher than the minimum required which helps us offer a sure-footed experience to our end-users.
What sets our anti-slip apart from others?
The make-up of our resin is different from other competitors on the market. We have worked long and hard to perfect our resin formulation to ensure the best user experience. Our DeckWright® anti-slip is the ideal anti-slip for installation teams, contractors and the general public given its easy and less damaging cutting properties.
Our resin formulation is designed to break apart when it is cut ensuring that there is minimum damage to the blade itself. We encourage people to cut our anti-slip decking boards from the underside to ensure they cut the resin first before the bauxite.
